Free lighting upgrades offered
Hawaii Energy is offering free lighting retrofits to small businesses and restaurants in Hawaii, Honolulu and Maui counties through its Energy Advantage program. The Energy Advantage program was created in 2011 to provide Hawaii businesses with lighting upgrades at significantly reduced prices.
For a limited time, the no-cost retrofits are available on a first-come, first-served basis, from now until June 30, 2021, or until funds run out.
To qualify for the free lighting retrofit, businesses must be located in Hawaii, Honolulu or Maui counties and must be either a restaurant, small business on electric utility billing rate schedule G; or small business on a master-metered electric utility account with a total space less than 5,000 square feet.

Goodfellow Bros. receives the world’s first electric drive dozer
Goodfellow Bros. recently announced it is the proud recipient of one of three commemorative Cat D6 XE Dozers – a special edition high-drive electric drive dozer built specifically to celebrate Caterpillar’s production of 175,000 medium high-drive dozers.
The Cat D6 XE is the world’s first electric drive dozer offering elevated sprocket design for increased agility and 35% better fuel efficiency, compared to the previous 3-speed model D6T. With no gears to shift, the electric drive provides maximum torque at all speeds and constant power to the ground allowing it to move up to 10% more material per hour.
The unique dark gray and black paint scheme was only one of two manufactured worldwide in this color. Additionally, the one-of-a-kind dozer features special fender decals and a custom, decorative blade to celebrate the company’s 2021 centennial.
Goodfellow Bros. plans to feature the new commemorative dozer throughout its centennial anniversary celebration in 2021.
“For nearly one hundred years, Goodfellow Bros. has been on the forefront of adopting innovative technologies to improve operations and make jobs safer and more efficient,” said Chad Goodfellow, CEO of Goodfellow Bros. “The addition of the Cat D6 XE to our fleet is a great example of our commitment to innovation and partnerships that make our industry better.”
